MM2 Trading Guide: Values, Fair Trades and Scam Prevention

How Trading Works

Trading is MM2’s real endgame. In the lobby, open the Trade menu, pick a player, and each side offers up to four items. Both players confirm twice before the trade executes. There are no take-backs — which is exactly why values matter.

Reading Values Like a Trader

MM2 has no official prices; the community maintains value lists instead (ours is here, cross-referenced against the major lists). Three numbers matter on every item:

  • Value — the community consensus worth, traditionally calibrated in Seers (≈25 points on our list).
  • Demand (1–10) — how easily the item actually moves. A high-value, low-demand item is hard to trade onward; demand is what makes value real.
  • Trend — event items often spike after their event retires, then settle.

A fair trade is one where both value and demand are roughly balanced. Slight overpays happen for high-demand items — that’s normal, not a scam.

The Scam Patterns (Old but Effective)

  • The rush. “Quick, accept now, I have to go.” Nobody legitimate rushes a trade. Slow down, check the value list.
  • The fake middleman. Someone offers to “hold” items to make a cross-trade safe. There is no such thing as a trusted middleman — MM2’s trade window is the only safe mechanism.
  • The lookalike item. Common skins with names or looks close to godlies. Verify the rarity color in the trade window, not the name.
  • The off-platform deal. Trades involving Robux, other games, or “I’ll pay you after” are unenforceable. Trade items for items, inside the window, or not at all.
  • The too-good offer. An overpay you didn’t ask for usually precedes a switch — items swapped out one confirmation before the end. Re-read the final window every time.

Climbing the Ladder

  1. Start with Seer or any low godly (how to get one).
  2. Target high-demand items over high-value items early — liquidity beats prestige.
  3. Take small, repeatable profits; five +10% trades beat waiting for one jackpot.
  4. Learn the knife tier list so you recognize underpriced offers instantly.

Trade patiently and MM2’s economy is the deepest on Roblox — twelve years of items, from 25-point godlies to grails with seven known owners.
